Why independence is the whole business
A firm that sells roofs has a reason to find a roof that needs replacing. A firm that owns one instrument has a reason to recommend that instrument. Neither is dishonesty. It is just what happens when the person diagnosing the problem also profits from the answer.
Atlantic Testing Services does not install, does not repair, and does not bid the work our findings point to. We test, we document, and we hand you the result. That is the entire product, and it is why our reports carry weight with owners, insurers and courts that a contractor's assessment does not.
The same logic runs one level deeper. We carry infrared and nuclear, low voltage and high voltage. So when we tell you which test your building needs, we are not steering you toward the only thing in the van.
What we actually do
Finds the breach itself in a roof or waterproofing membrane, to the square inch, without flooding anything.
Reads heat to find wet insulation, failing connections and everything else that gives itself away as temperature.
Measures moisture inside the assembly, through ballast, cover boards and overlays that defeat a thermal scan.
Verifies the barrier performs as specified, while it is still exposed and can be corrected.
Everything buried past the meter on private property, which nobody else is coming to mark.
Underground water loss located without excavating the site to find it.

Why we travel for infrared and nuclear but not for everything
Because of what is hard to find. Anyone can get a roofer locally. What most of the country does not have nearby is a licensed nuclear gauge with an operator qualified to run it, or a thermographer certified to interpret what the camera shows rather than just point it.
On a large roof, or on a decision about whether to replace one, the testing is a small fraction of the money at stake. So bringing in the instrument and the certification is routine, and it is why our infrared and nuclear work is not limited by a drive time. If you have a building somewhere we have never been, ask. The answer is usually yes.

Our technicians are certified and our procedures follow published standards. These are the bodies whose practices that work runs to.
The standards we test to, our SBE registration number and paste-ready specification language are all published on the specification page. Most testing firms make you email for that.
The record
Atlantic Testing Services has been doing this since 2011, and has found 75,000+ leaks in that time. The figure counts leaks located, not jobs performed, and it includes every pinhole in a liner, which on one job can be a great many.
One thing left on this page, and only you have it. Is there anything about how the company started, or a single job that changed how you work, that you would put in print? Every competitor's About page is interchangeable corporate copy about clarity and confidence. One specific story is the only thing on this page none of them could copy. Two or three sentences is plenty.
